  Articles > Animated Film Information
Animation was where it all started for walt disney, without it, he would have never built Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and the other parks, and children would have grown up in a Disney-less World, a chilling thought. But animation was there for disney to perfect. Today, almost all of the advances made in the form of animation has been by the Walt Disney Company. In 1928, Disney showed the world what sound could to to an animated film, and in 1937, almost a decade later, Disney made film history, yet again, with the release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

  Random Fact
In Tomorrowland (WDW), there is a dark, heavy, water-covered sphere which sits on a low-friction base. If it's sitting still, you can give it a hard push to put it in motion, and it will continue to move for a while, in whichever direction you push it.The ball weighs 6 tons and is held up by a fountain of water. If it was ever removed the water from the fountain would rise 210 feet in the air.
